Located at 1350 Empire Blvd, Rochester, NY 14609, Elvio's Coffee operates as a coffee shop serving Rochester in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Rochester, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across New York, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Loyalty programs are common and worth joining if you are a regular.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–2 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Elvio's Coffee at (585) 270-8272; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, elvioscoffee.com.

Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Rochester peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Amazing pastries (get the pastel de nata). Sandwiches and coffee are also very good. The staff is so friendly, you feel like you're part of the family. When there's live music, it is way too loud for my taste. (Your mileage may vary.) When there's no music, the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable.

I have celiac disease and cannot eat any gluten. The staff were extremely friendly and they even have staff who cannot have gluten as well. None of the pastries are gluten free but they said they can make any of their menu dishes gluten free! I got the salmon bagel and it was delicious. They put it on a GF bagel. The other dishes my family got looked delicious as well. I got an iced chai latte, this tasted a bit watered down but overall the experience was great. Owner is very nice and present as well. Sitting outside by the water on a sunny day is a nice touch. Good place to check out :)

Oh my gosh! Such a great place! Elvio was even on register today. I got the 24 Karet Magic Chai (iced) and it was SO good! There was live music today also. I've eaten there before and the food is delicious too. Most items have some Portuguese flair and they are yummy! Just a great place for so many reasons! Oh, I brought a cannoli croissant home too!

I've been wanting to visit Elvio's for quite a while and finally took the trip today. What a vibe! The inside is cozy and they had a live musician playing who was talented and charming. My trip had two major missions: 1) get some pastel de natas and 2) get a breakfast sandwich. It was super crowded inside so I sat down at the last remaining table while I told my husband to go up and get us some drinks, a muffin, and some natas. I planned to look at the menu online to determine which sandwich I wanted while he did that. The menu is totally inaccessible! There is no online menu (the page I clicked goes to a 404 not found message) and you can only do the "online ordering" version of the menu, which gives names to the drinks, food items, and sandwiches with NO EXPLANATION OF WHAT THEY ARE. So did I want a Briana or a BLAT or a Funchal?? How would I know as there is absolutely no descriptions of what the ingredients are. Especially as a vegetarian, this is important, since I know Portuguese food is meat heavy. They did have a "build your own sandwich" but again, no idea what the options even were. I then walked up and asked if they had any paper menus I could look at to see w

After reading all the 5 star reviews we couldn’t wait to check this place out. When we arrived there was zero acknowledgement from the staff. They saw us and completely ignored us but all the other customers that came in got a “hello” If Elvio’s was buzzing then I would understand the lack of acknowledgment but it felt like if your face doesn’t fit you don’t get acknowledged. The tables were dirty @ 08:20 (this place opens at 08:00). We ordered the Pastel De Nata Latte, Boule De Mel Latte and a Chocolate Croissant. It’s a shame that our lattes tasted of nothing. The Chocolate Croissant was fresh out of the oven and didn’t have any layers. It was stodgy. Would be more useful as a door stopper. We didn’t bother to complain about the Croissant to the staff as they didn’t seem approachable. On a positive the 3 stars are for ample seating indoors and outdoors and the view of the bay.
